Vallisneria nana is a tall background plant strongly resembling wide blades of grass.
This species of tapegrass is very hardy and generally easy to keep. It grows up to 20 inches long, and will easily and readily propograte itself under the right conditions. It does best in water temperatures in the mid-70's range, and prefers hard water. This plant will require moderate lighting, but will generally grow in most substrates. CO2 is not required.
