Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes) is a species of floating aquarium plant with long, fluffy roots.
This plant is ideal for many species of surface-dwelling fish that prefer some cover. Floating aquarium plants provide shade in the aquarium, allowing low-light plant species to thrive.
Water Lettuce does best in water that is between 70 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and in water with a neutral pH. The fluffy roots may be picked at and damaged by some herbivorous fish species, which can inhibit growth.
This listing is for 1 water lettuce plant, between 1.5"-2" in length.
