Lucky bamboo is a tall, stalky plant. While it is a terrestrial plant, and can be grown in regular potting soil, many aquarists will incorporate these plants into their aquariums.
If you are attempting to grow bamboo in your aquarium, make sure the tops and leaves are not submerged. They are best suited for tanks that are very shallow. An extremely popular option is to grow the bamboo out of your hang-on-back filter. Bamboo will do well in shorter aquariums, or in bowls.
Bamboo does particularly well in a wide range of temperatures and lighting conditions, but medium-light does best to promote growth.
This listing is for lucky bamboo with vertical stalks that spiral at the ends.
