The Marble Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare) is a mutation of angelfish that has a black and white brindle patterning, typically with red eyes. The fins are long and thin with delicate-looking webbing, and will typically extend past the length of the body. These juvenile specimens are approx. 2.5 inches long. These fish are locally bred!

There animals grow to be quite large (up to 10 inches in length), and prefer a well-planted tank of at least 30 gallons with soft, slightly acidic water. Rocks and driftwood can be added to the aquarium, but leave plenty of space for swimming.

These animals will become more aggressive as they grow. They can be kept with other angelfish, some smaller South American cichlid species, and large tetra species. Always check the compatibilty of the animals you have with the animals you plan on adding to your aquarium.

Please Note: Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image provided. Approximate size range may also vary between individual specimen.
