Pennywort (Hydrocotyle leucocephala), also called Brazillian Pennywort, is a tall, stemmy plant with large round leaves. It grows in boggy regions in central and south America and is an excellent beginner aquarium plant due to its easy care. It can be grown rooted or floating in the water column. If the plant gets tall enough, a portion of the leaves will float on the surface (similar to a lily pad). It produces small white flowers when taken care of well.
