Cryptocoryne becketti is a hardy aquarium plant, suitable for the novice aquarist. It has brown-red leaves, and generally only grows to 5 inches in height making it suitable as a mid-ground plant. It can grow in low-light settings and will tolerate neutral, acidic, or alkaline water well. It does best in aquariums that are nutrient-rich, with a large livestock quantity. Fertilizer is heavily recommended, as well as clay substrate (though not necessary). This plant does not come in a pot.
