The Opaline Gourami () is a species of moderately-sized gourami, characterized by their light blue bodies with dark blue marbling down the sides.
These gourami reach 6 inches in length and an adult specimen should be kept in no less than 30 gallons of water. These animals are very hardy and suitable for a beginner keeper if the right amount of space can be provided. Opaline Gourami prefer water temperatures from the low 70's to low 80's, and prefer a pH range of 6.0 to 8.8.
Opaline Gourami can be kept together (in a large enough aquarium), or alone. These fish do well with other tankmates and can live with small peaceful community fish, or with semi-aggressive or energetic tankmates. It is not recommended to keep them with slow fish, as the Opaline Gourami may target slow or long-finned fish.
